Babysitters are placed with families based on their availability as they often hold other
jobs in the community as teachers, moms, nannies, camp counselors,
lifeguards, nurses, restaurant staff and ski instructors.
Carly Weston age 23, moved to Colorado from Connecticut, where she spent four years getting her undergrad in psychology and working at a group home. She has spent the majority of her life around special needs children thanks to her older brother and strives to be a therapist for special needs kids one day. She enjoys spending time with family, camping, reading sci-fi books, going to the gym, and finding peace on the yoga mat.
Lindsi Koen age 34, moved from San Diego to Steamboat Springs to join the local nursing program. After many years of traveling the world as a flight attendant she decided to change careers to one where she can be a little more grounded. She loves the outdoors, especially when she gets to be on a mountain and gets out as often as possible. She has spent many years as a nanny, babysitter and aunty to three amazing kids and loves being around children of all ages. After school she hopes to work with babies in the health care setting.
Debbie Valois age 61, originally from Chicago but moved to Steamboat Springs in 2000. She has been babysitting young children in Steamboat for the past 20 years and looks forward to starting a new chapter in her life. She has two grown children of her own who are married and she is waiting to spoil some grandchildren. Debbie’s favorite thing to do is go hiking, walking and exploring and can often be found enjoying live music.
Annmarie Blodgett age 30, grew up in Maine where she attended Providence College and studied Health Policy and Community Health. Most of her experiences since graduating has involved working with kids in an education setting. She has served multiple terms with AmeriCorps, worked at the middle school here in Steamboat, and now works at a local non-profit BookTrails that provides literacy education and outdoor experiences to children. In her free time, Annmarie is usually found playing in the mountains, reading, or spending time with friends.
Cynthia Conant age 22, is from Connecticut but has made the move to Colorado because of how much she loves the people and the environment. She loves exploring the outdoors, reading, and traveling in her spare time. She has been babysitting since she was 13 and it has been a part of her daily life for as long as she can remember. She loves children and spending time with creative minds. She has 5 younger siblings and 10 younger cousins almost all of which she has babysat at one point or another along with neighborhood children, thus where her passion stems. While in college she also babysat full time while working towards her BA in environmental earth sciences. She is also a huge dog lover so your pups are welcome during her sitting.
Lauren Hughes age 24, has lived in Colorado for the past five years. Originally raised in Albuquerque NM, she moved to pursue an undergraduate degree in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources at Colorado State University. Lauren loves all things outdoors whether it be hiking, skiing, rock climbing, backpacking, or traveling both in the United States and abroad. She has five years of experience working with children in the environmental education field and absolutely adores being able to go on adventures with little ones! In addition to outdoor exploration, Lauren loves to do yoga, read, cook, play her ukulele, and brew kombucha!
Paige Storey age 23, grew up in North Carolina, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She moved to Steamboat Springs in 2019 to work for Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, and then became a Ski Instructor at Steamboat Resort, where she is still currently employed. She has been babysitting for over 10 years, nannied throughout college and also been a camp counselor for many summers. Paige enjoys outdoor activities of all kinds and prefers to be outside no matter the weather or season! She spent a lot of time learning whitewater sports this summer and she is so excited for another season of skiing in Steamboat this winter.
Pamela Nebel age 25, grew up in Colombia and moved to Steamboat in 2020. She is a Social Worker and works as a Case Manager for Partners in Routt County and works with youth age 7-17 but has experience with kids of all ages and backgrounds. She enjoys camping, mountain biking, skiing and rollerblading.

Jamie Nadeau age 31, moved to Steamboat from Maine in which she has lived all of her life. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been a Preschool teacher for four years. Throughout her adulthood she has also been a nanny and babysitter for multiple families. She enjoys staying busy, being outside, meeting new people, playing competitive sports and exploring.
