We have many diverse and caring sitters to meet your family's childcare needs. All of our sitters have passed an extensive interview, criminal background check, and are CPR certified. We offer everything from infant specialist to kid "wranglers." Our experienced sitters are well trained and are thoroughly screened to make sure your kids are safe and smiling!

Danielle Zimmerer age 30, considers herself a Colorado native. She is the mama to the best four-legged doggie she has ever known and she is currently planting her roots as deep as possible in Steamboat Springs. She follows her dreams, travels often, and creates art on the daily. She started her photography business in 2015 and since have photographed over 40 weddings and countless family sessions. Babysitting was her first job, and she is thrilled to be building relationships with families and watching little ones have adventures while in Steamboat Springs, CO.

Emily Heiner age 24, grew up in Steamboat Springs and has always loved the mountains. She received her Bachelor's in Applied Exercise Science from Azusa Pacific University and pursuing a Master's in Public Health. She is currently teaching preschool and is also a missionary in Uganda and runs a Non-Profit that brings skills training to low income children and single mothers.

Eliza Adams age 26, grew up in Jacksonville, FL. She moved to Steamboat Springs in Winter 2018 to live in a ski town and experience all the mountains have to offer. In the winter, Eliza works on the mountain at the Kid’s Vacation Center, working with children ages 3-7 to teach them how to ski. She has experience with children as young as 1 month and loves working with kids of all ages because of their boundless imaginations and free spirit. When she isn’t working, she enjoys hiking, white water rafting, reading or spending time in the kitchen cooking or baking.

Collette Newcombe, age 24 grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Gordon College with majors in Social Work and Sociology and a minor in Art. Collette moved to Steamboat as part of a service corps to work with people with disabilities. Collette has worked with a few non-profits directed towards serving people with disabilities, including Shared Living Collaborative, Kupenda for the Children, and the Special Olympics. As well, her family has done foster care for infants over the last six years, so Collette is comfortable caring for babies (newborn+). In her free time, Collette enjoys field hockey, skiing, drawing, running, reading, crafting, and stovetop popcorn.

Heather Denison age 25, was born and raised in Massachusetts. She has lived in Steamboat for many years and received her Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability Studies from CMC. She will also be taking early childhood education classes from the College. She hopes to attend a Physician's Assistant program in the next few years. She is the proud mom of an adorable Australian Shepard named Kiva, and they love to get outdoors and explore. She especially loves to bike, hike, climb, sail, snowboard, and camp. She also loves to draw and paint. She has worked with children for 10 years now and loves sharing her passion for the outdoors and creativity with the kids in Steamboat!

Hope Doucette age 21, was born and raised in Littleton Colorado and moved to Steamboat in August 2017 to attend Colorado Mountain College. Before that she went to a community college in Littleton and became Lead teacher Certified in Early Childhood Education. She has completed her Bakery Arts Certificate and now working on her Associates Degree in Communications at CMC. She has been babysitting since she was 12 years old, was a live in Nanny for a year, and worked at a few daycares. She has worked with kids of all ages and loves them all! Working with kids has always been a passion of hers and something  she loves to do. She loves living in such a beautiful place and enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending as much time outdoors as possible in her free time!

Sierra Haines age 25, is a Colorado Native with a huge passion for helping others and exploring the world. She has been watching little ones since she was 17 and has always enjoyed their child-like spirits. Kids have always taught her more about life than she could ever teach them, they understand the true meaning to life: To have fun!!! You can expect singing, dancing, coloring, playing, storytelling and many other fun engaging activities when your children are in her care. She hopes to bring a lasting impression on your little ones in the most positive way with their time together.

Heathre Naused age 44, has lived in Steamboat since 2003 and is a mom of two boys ages 10 and 11 years old. She has many years experience working with kiddos of all ages and also has extensive experience working with special needs kids with a wide range of disabilities. When she's not helping care for kiddos (hers or yours), she's running her own business, enjoys performing with the Steamboat Springs African Drum and Dance Ensemble, skiing, playing music, hiking, mountain biking or pretty much anything to do with local arts and culture and the outdoors.

Laura Scoggins, age 28 was born and raised in southeastern Tennessee. Laura and her husband, Will, came to Steamboat with the intentions of spending one season, but fell in love with the town and have now spent many winters here. Laura works for the Kids Vacation Center on the Mountain. She has the gift of working with the little ones and enjoys their energy. In her off time, she enjoys skiing, snowmobiling and taking beach trips.

Mayzie Lawrence ag 24, graduate student from Tallahassee, FL. She moved to Steamboat Springs for a chance to do more of what she loves: hiking, skiing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with her two dogs Laila and Bella. She is the oldest of four children and has spent her life helping to raise them along with babysitting many other children along the way. She loves to play games, play outside, and is always willing to help with anything. Mayzie has worked primarily in the healthcare industry while pursuing her Masters in Healthcare Administration, working with patients has blessed her with patience and knowledge she could not have acquired anywhere else.

Taylor Vaughan age 27, has worked with kiddos of all ages since 2000. In Steamboat Taylor loves to ski and teach folks how to have fun on the hill. She also works with the Yampa Valley Autism Program. In the past Taylor has worked in wilderness therapy and international disaster response. She graduated from UNC Asheville with a degree in Health and Wellness Promotions and Spanish Literature. Taylor’s favorite part about working with children is how much she gets to learn from them.

Annmarie Blodgett age 29, grew up in Maine where she attended Providence College and studied Health Policy and Community Health. Most of her experiences since graduating has involved working with kids in an education setting. She has served multiple terms with AmeriCorps, worked at the middle school here in Steamboat, and now works at a local non-profit BookTrails that provides literacy education and outdoor experiences to children. In her free time, Annmarie is usually found playing in the mountains, reading, or spending time with friends.

Charlotte Eaton age 23, grew up in Chicago and completed her bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Lake Forest College. She moved to Steamboat Springs 2 years ago to work at an environmental testing agency as a lab analyst. She has been babysitting since 8th grade and nannied extensively throughout college. Charlotte has experience with children from infants through middle school including twins. In her my free time she can be found riding her horse Danny or on hikes with her dog Georgi.

Cynthia Conant age 21, is from Connecticut but has made the move to Colorado because of how much she loves the people and the environment. She loves exploring the outdoors, reading, and traveling in her spare time. She has been babysitting since she was 13 and it has been a part of her daily life for as long as she can remember. She loves children and spending time with creative minds. She has 5 younger siblings and 10 younger cousins almost all of which she has babysat at one point or another along with neighborhood children, thus where her passion stems. While in college she also babysat full time while working towards her BA in environmental earth sciences. She is also a huge dog lover so your pups are welcome during her sitting.

Chloe Sherard age 24, grew up in Boulder, CO. She relocated to Steamboat so that she can experience a ski town and all it has to offer! She has always had a passion for kids and continues to crave time spent well with little ones. She has experience with all ages of kids starting from 3 months and up and has been nannying since she was 15 years old. She enjoys hiking, journaling, and off-roading in her Jeep in her free time. She loves to play games, color, and engage with your kids in any way she can.

Steamboat Babysitting Company Job Description

Jenni Gerard age 28, grew up in St. Louis and moved to Colorado where she graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Environmental Design. Since college, she has followed her passion for adventure in the mountains, traveling and working seasonally as a rock climbing instructor and ski/snowboard instructor, both within the US and overseas. While climbing, splitboarding, running, and biking take up most of her free time, her love for kids has made childcare a consistent factor in all of Jenni’s travels.  She has been privately babysitting since her teen years, nannied part-time and full-time, and worked in daycares, preschools and sleepaway camps. She has experience with infants through teenagers.
